James Vickery’s journey is one of resilience, self-discovery, and passion. Born deaf in one ear due to a cholesteatoma, he nearly lost his life at age eight. A vocal coach, initially brought in to aid his speech, uncovered his remarkable talent. Vickery later shared his story in Louder, a 2021 documentary exploring his identity as a white-passing artist of South African descent.

John Deering found his passion for songwriting after years of playing others' songs. Inspired by the grunge era, he chased music but was sidetracked by life—family, work, and responsibility. Jake Major is a young, emerging artist from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He channels 1980s synth influences from Jean-Michel Jarre, Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis, John Foxx, and more into a modern, totally unique blend of a mass of electronic genres and styles, whilst still evoking this unexplainable nostalgic sound that, if you’re Jake’s age, reminds you of a past you never knew, and then blasts you into the retrospective vision of the future that was so prevalent in pop culture back then.
