Discovering the new music underground around the globe
Rock/Review Kwolek - Ronnie Stole This Riff / Kim Is Desperate
Kwolek makes music in a small apartment in Boulder, CO. His 4th solo LP, Masks, is comprised of 10 textured, meticulous songs of protest, beauty, and weirdness and took 3 years to make. Masks are a thematic element throughout the album - hiding, revealing, fakery, invisibility, and bald honesty brushed off as just a joke. He attempts to ensure that no two bars of any song are exactly the same - that everything is in constant flux and evolution. His earliest memory is of feeling frisson from music, and he has been on a quest to capture those chills ever since.
Rock/Review Die Kammer - Season V: Maybe forgotten. Maybe glorious.
The two makers of Die Kammer can look back on decades of experience in numerous well-known bands. They are just as familiar with the stages of German and European live clubs as they are well-disposed towards them. Die Kammer was founded in December 2011. Since then, the duo has been working together in changing line-ups with a wide variety of musicians. In the first few years, the focus was on purely acoustic realisation.

Fugu Quintet is an experimental band from Saint Petersburg.
R&B/Review TaniA Kyllikki - I Struck Gold with You
British singer-songwriter TaniA Kyllikki has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. Since the pandemic hit in 2020, she has emerged as one of the most powerful female artists in indie music. Her massive, old-school, strong vocal range and distinct raw organic storytelling approach have led to comparisons to legends in the music industry. With her husband and musical collaborator, Rynellton, aka Garry D. Hairston, they have become a strong power couple.
Hardstyle/Review 4D4M - Remedy (Euphoria Mix)
Starting composing at age four and obtaining his first copyright for his original music at age six, 4D4M grew up in the Chicago underground rave scene, producing events to play his original techno sets at. Hand-building his first computer into a flight case complete with a controller interface, at 14 he began selling EDM loops and samples through Sony Music, consulted on touchscreen DJ interfaces and computers, produced two albums, and formed a DJ act opening for the world's biggest EDM artists.
EDM/Review The 1975 - Oh Caroline (TATE SEDAR Remix)
Featured on EDM.com, radio, and the EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-a-Thon, TATE SEDAR is cutting the noise in his articulate style of electro & progressive house. He has already mixed alongside Don Diablo, Cash Cash, Wolfgang Gartner, DallasK & Henry Fong. TATE seeks a voice for electronic music like in his official remix for "Hero" by Empire's Terrell Carter (elevating Carter’s message on American civil rights) and to disrupt the pop format like in the originals “Heaven” and “All of Your Lovin’.”
Punk/Review Wexford - Never Give Up the Fight
Wexford is a four-piece band hailing from Sandusky, Ohio. With a sound that blends alternative, punk, and post-hardcore influences, their music is characterized by driving rhythms, intricate guitar work, and raw, emotive vocals. The band consists of Shawn Daley on bass, Jeff Vandebussche on drums, and Andy Kohlmann and Dave Mueller on guitar and vocals. Each member brings their unique style and musical background to the table, creating a sound that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Folk/Review Jagas - Dis non!
The French band Jagas sings to life and celebrates the living! Jagas follows the tradition of committed French-language rock/chanson with his energetic and powerful songs, far from cynicism and the prevailing resignation. Furiously humanistic and gleefully militant, Jagas allows the passion of Mano Solo, the poetry of Jacques Brel, and the generosity of Ogres de Barback to collide.
Pop/Review Anoush - Brave Girl
With a foundation in classical piano and a passion for diverse musical influences, Anoush crafts mesmerizing compositions that transcend genres. Drawing inspiration from many styles across the spectrum, Anoush creates a unique fusion of experimental art pop, piano beats, and jazz-infused vocals. In 2023, Anoush captivated audiences with her debut album, ONE, and has plans to release a highly anticipated follow-up album in 2024. Hip-Hop/Review Trevour Amunga - Akira's Blues
Trevour Amunga (born July 4th, 1996) is a rapper/songwriter based in LA. He was born in Kenya but moved to America in 2008, in the wake of the civil war, as his parents sought to find solace in America. With a charming blend of poetry and authenticity, Trevour's musical canvas is as iridescent as it is colorless.
Rock/Review Matt O'Ree Band - Cradle Rock (feat. John Popper)
Jersey's best-kept secret is about to make some noise. Over the past few years, the Matt O'Ree Band has done what most area bands do. They've played their shows, developed their sound, released their records, and very quietly built a local fan base in the process. What makes this band different from all the others is that their local fan base includes Bruce Springsteen, David Bryan, and John Popper (all of whom have volunteered to perform on the band's last album), which broke the band globally.
Country/Review Juliana MacDowell - Big Old Yellow Moon
Juliana MacDowell is an American singer-songwriter who lives between the hills and hollers of Loudoun County, VA, and the relaxing and riotous rock that is Key West, FL. Her velvety vocals and moving originals unite her with listeners in unforced and memorable ways. Juliana fell in love with music as a toddler when her grandfather placed her on the bench of his Steinway.
Electronic/Review Genevieve Sovereign - Random Number
Genevieve Sovereign is a Melbourne, Australia-based electronic singer-songwriter and flutist who enjoys long walks on creative avenues, doodling up her own cover art, and folding into human-pretzel shapes as her physical capacities permit.
Pop/Review .Fen - Hero
.Fen's musical journey began at a young age, with an early fascination for the sounds of Stevie Wonder and The Jacksons. This early exposure laid the foundation for a future filled with soulful melodies and captivating rhythms. In 2021, .Fen releases his album "Life Is So Beautiful." These songs, crafted during the first lockdown in 2020, bear witness to .Fen's desire to blend his favorite genres, funk and motown, with a pop twist for added catchiness.
Rock/Review Alex Wellkers - Fly Away
In 2014, the one-man project Alex Wellkers was founded by himself in Switzerland. Even though the name Wellkers is originally German, it is pronounced the English way. Alex early started spending his time with music. At age 6, Alex began playing the accordion. He later changed to harmonica, keyboard, and classical guitar before he found his passion for playing blues music on an electrical guitar. He likes rap, and over time, he became more and more interested in grunge and rock music. Most of the songs he writes are in English.

Pop/Review How To Loot Brazil - Joy to Be Had
For 18 years straight, How To Loot Brazil has consistently cut their own path without a care in the world. Being described as „probably Germany's best indie band“ (OX) or „even more genius than the band itself can imagine“ (VISIONS), they still stay under the radar of attention, not meeting the demands of social media as they don't have anything to sell but their music.

Rock/Review Riding with Killers - Full Circle
While Riding with Killers may be a new name on the rock scene, the members of the Detroit trio have seen more stages and logged more hours in the studio than most could imagine. Taylor Roberts, frontman and mastermind of RWK (formerly of Cathercist/Wild Fire), formed a friendship with ex-taproot drummer Dave Coughlin, which led to the early music of the band. Since 2018, the band has built a name for themselves in the Gulf Coast region and beyond.
